I think you are on to something, Carolyn. Imagine being financed to start your own solo practice by Big Law. And ‘making the world a better place’ is easy. If they are representing clients who need legal services and do so with integrity and ethical advocacy, the world becomes a better place. It may not initially be solo by choice, but if the numbers bear out, most associates leave at the five year mark so this is just a fabulous incentive to get started earlier…but financed.
