I also run a virtual office and I usually meet clients online using several office software tools that can be used for video chat as a way to replace face-to-face communication. Having a virtual office is becoming a new way for business to grow and offer better client care for the clients in a specific area. We expand our business by using this technology and the costs are less.

Office is a place where one spends the day planning and working. But many times people cannot afford to have an office for themselves,so they work from their homes while others prefer to work from home.

I'd have to agree with Davinci Virtual on this one. I also work for a company that provides virtual offices and I think all of our clients would say they are satisfied with the virtual office experience. Also in regards to your point 2, I know of many providers that offer catering and beverage services, including ours.

I may be biased, as we provide virtual office and assistants for our clients, but I think clients are fine with meeting in spaces like these. The bottom line is that more of us are working from home, working for ourselves, and it is definitely more professional to meet them in an office space than at your kitchen table. I would guess that in the next couple of years, our work force will be so decentralized that this won't even be an issue.

I've got a solo criminal practice and I find that most of my clients are quite comfortable with meeting me at the local coffee shop -- sometimes they even suggest it. If I have lost a retainer or two do to perceived unprofessionalism, the loss is outweighed by what I'm saving on rent. This advice is probably quite specific to criminal, however.

I am starting a practice to supplement my in house work, and I plan to do as much as I can at my clients' locations, reserving the rented conference room for when I need it. The benefit to this is since my clients will know my practice is part time, they won't be worried about my not renting a saeparate full time office. However, even if it were my full time solo practice, I think I woudl capatalize on the "you're not paying high hourly rates to subsidize a full time office' idea. I guess this works with some clients, but others may not get it. I would worry about the client feeling that you've been misleading him. I did work for a firm that had a sattelite office that was served by out of town visiting lawyers, and they wanted us to pretend we worked there full time. Very awkward!
