I agree with you 100%. Lawyers have been slow to adopt new technologies that allow them to educate their potential clients.
Social media, especially video, allows a viewer to become educated by the attorney before they ever pick up the phone to call. Never before has a marketing media been so effective at allowing a lawyer to give a full marketing message. All other media forms are truncated and you can&#039;t tell one lawyer from another; yellow pages, tv ads, radio ads, classifieds, billboards, display ads.
They all say the same thing. Just interchange the name and photo and how can a consumer tell the difference? They can&#039;t.
With social media you can distinguish yourself. Importantly, video being the king of social media, allows every attorney to distinguish themselves.
Lawyers who fail to recognize this now will be left in the stone age, when everyone else is busy online.
