These days, there’s a wealth of programs for solos and small firms – on topics ranging from starting a law firm and practice management issues to pro bono trainings and substantive CLEs.  Moreover, many of these programs are available online at minimal cost. Yet, most solo and small firm lawyers miss out on these programs because they never find out about them. Lawagora – the MyShingle marketplace of events – solves that problem.

Here’s why Lawagora is superior to bar newsletters or other ad hoc forms of event notice. First, unlike most bar associations or vendors which plug only their own events, we provide you with access to programs and events across the web and all over the country in one convenient and continuously updated list. We ask that you provide as much information about an event as possible.  In particular, we ask that you complete the category, “Event Type,” where sponsors must indicate the type of event (e.g., meet up, training, CLE) and more importantly, whether the event is “free” or “under $50.”  That way busy, cash strapped solos rushing through the events calendar can skip directly to lower cost options.
