Events: Starting A Firm Talk in DC, FREE Webinar on SEO & Content Creation and Funniest Lawyer Contest

Here’s a quick round-up of some upcoming, FREE events of potential news to readers:

1. On FEBRUARY 15, 2011, I’m returning to the American University, Washington College of Law School, to reprise my talk on the Nuts & Bolts of Starting a Law Firm – which covers the reasons to consider starting a firm out of law school, how to do it and also, how you can use a law firm start up as a way to find a job if that’s where your interest lies. The talk, which is free and open to all, is Tuesday, February 15; 12:00-1:20 pm; Room 101 at the law school, 4801 Mass Ave, Wash DC. Stop by if you can! (We’ll be auctioning off a copy of Solo by Choice and Social Media for Lawyers!)

2. On FEBRUARY 16, 2011, Jay Fleischman will be presenting a FREE 90-minute webinar on Why Content Matters, which will discuss topics such as the role of content in search engine rankings and creating a content hub and content promotion strategies. Jay a lawyer and in my view, a trusted source of information on marketing so it’s worth checking out. To register or learn more, visit Legal Practice Pro
